Description
Our client has won a two year contract for the inspection of staircases and ladders at a Power Station.
They are looking for a structural engineer or technician
With the following criteria:
MEng or BEng civil/structural for an Engineer with at least five years' experience especially in surveying and detailing of steel structures
Self-motivated and able to work with the minimum of supervision
Experience in preparing structural calculations, preparation of specifications and capable of pulling together bills of quantities
Experience in the use of computer design programmes and AutoCAD would be advantageous
A good understanding of Excel and other Microsoft applications
Very good report writing and able to communicate well with the Client and team members
A health and safety qualification would be helpful, NEBOSH or IOSH
Experience of working at height and preferably with training but this can be supplied.
Hold a valid UK driving licence
Located close to Nottingham
HND civil/structural for a Technician with at least ten years' experience especially in surveying and detailing of steel structures.
The rest of the above requirements would apply to the Technician role also.
HND or HNC as minimum
Degree would be preferable either civil or structural
Min health and safety training as the client will provide necessary qualifications for the job.
