Functional Manager - Murex

Whitehall Resources are currently looking for a Functional Manager - Murex to be based in Amsterdam, Netherlands.

Responsibilities
- Coordinate and manage a run team day-to-day production support for the Murex users (Front Office, Back Office, Finance etc) interaction with business, guarantee quality of projects, structural improvements (application and processes) major incidents and managing of escalations.
- To work with third party vendor/manage services support team to provide a seamless support model for the business.
- Coordinate and perform pre-post impact testing for configuration changes before implementing in production

Hard Skills
- Experience in trades processing - from trade capture to downstream routing (clearing, settlement, confirmation, asset servicing etc). Understand trade flows and data captured to support trade processing
- Investment Banking experience, including the following asset classes: Interest Rates, Fixed Income and Structured deals

Technical skills:
- Proven experience in Murex 3.1: Asset classes: FX, IR and Commodities
- Experience with a multi-entity front-to-back setup
- Pre- and post-trade workflows (including SWIFT & confirmation generation and sending)
- Accounting module
- Market data: Real Time and batch upload
- Market risk module

Programming languages: XSLT, SQL & MSL are key, Perl & Shell Scripting optional
- Unix (Solaris & Red Hat Enterprise Linux)
- Autosys/iXP or other batch scheduler

Soft skills
- Analytical decision-making: identifies and solves problems using insight and experience to make good decisions; gathers relevant information, identifying important issues and drawing conclusions
- Communication skills in setting expectations and creating reports are very important here, this is vital in order to succeed in the role
- Teamwork: works effectively with others; helps to build strong teams and networks
- Can do attitude
