Description

Security Data Analyst urgently required for a new global project based out of New Jersey.

The Security Data Scientist will:

  • Leverage standard and advanced tools to perform in-depth security analytical research.
  • Utilizes his/her extensive knowledge set to identify emerging and advanced threats from a mountain of data
  • Produce trends for metrics and reporting development in support of Access Governance goals
  • Perform analysis and management of complex security research and create advanced reports
  • Basic Qualifications:

    Education

    B.S. in a quantitative field (Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering, Computer Science, etc.) required

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Must possess the ability to work closely with all other Cyber Security Teams, Database
    • Administrators, Programmers, Information Security Management, as well as many other IT and application teams.
    • Must be able to work independently to perform analyses and research as well as possess the ability to determine key issues and decipher true findings from false positive ones.
    • Excellent customer service and verbal skills are required as well as excellent verbal and written communication skills.
    • Proficiency with Scripting languages (Python, Perl, Bash, etc.)
    • Proficiency with statistical/analytical tools (R, NumPy, Scipy, Matplotlib, Matlab, etc.)
    • SQL Proficiency
    • Demonstrated experience with and understanding of machine learning techniques including classification, regression, and clustering Ability to work independently with minimal direction Ability to communicate statistical ideas and concepts to people outside of the Data Science team
    • Must have managed and analyzed Big Data sets
    • Must have experience in coding and have implemented scripts for automation of analytics and workflow.
    • Experience participating and at times leading collaborative efforts for the design of technologies and services.
    • M.S. or PhD in a quantitative field a plus
    • Experience with distributed computing (Massively Parallel Processing Databases, Hadoop, etc.) a plus
    • Experience with Natural Language Processing (NLP) a plus
    • Experience with Graph mining algorithms a plus
    • Experience with Semi Supervised Learning a plus
    • Advanced SQL proficiency a plus
