Description
A Senior SQL Developer with strong experience in working with large/complex volumes of data is required for a large scale data migration project. The SQL Developer MUST have strong experience working with large relational data & migration of large datasets equating to billions of rows of data. The SQL Developer should have strong knowledge in SQL Server 2008 and be proficient with SSIS & T-SQL. This is an exciting opportunity to join a company heavily invested in SQL and on an upwards curve in their market.Key Requirements:
1.To maintain and enhance the live MSSQL database estate for our global businesses; assist with planning and rollout of development, test, QA and Live systems.
2.The candidate will be expected to have extensive experience with ETL processes and tools.
3.The candidate will be expected to have extensive experience with building data driven solutions in T-SQL.
4.It is a requirement that the candidate will have experience with high-availability features such as log shipping, clustering and mirroring.
5.The primary platform for development and live is currently SQL Server 2008 R2. The candidate will need extensive knowledge of this platform.
6.The candidate must have excellent inter-personal skills as they will be required to attend meetings with people at different levels across the business, to discuss new work and participate in reviews of code releases where database development requirements were in-scope.
7.The candidate will join a team of database professionals with a vast knowledge and skill in varying disciplines of database development, reporting, integration and analysis services.
Rate - £200 per day Length - 3 Months Location - Manchester
