I am looking for a Cobol Programmer on a 3 month contract to be based in HampshireClient already has an individual with some Cobol background on mainframe, and they seem to struggle to resolve the current problem/ bugs so are requiring a programmer with netcobol experience.
I am are looking for Cobol programmer to recompile all NetCOBOL batch jobs on:
- Fujitsu NetCOBOL for .NET Enterprise Edition v6.0 (inc. PowerBSORT & DataTools)
- Microsoft Visual Studio 2010
- Microsoft.NET4.5.1
Client has Cobol code that was written a long time ago and running on Windows 2003 server. This code together with other data tools is used to create summary SQL tables on a SQL 2005 server environment.
However, they are in the process of migrating to Windows 2012 environment and SQL 20y14 servers. While undertaking a prove of concept it was found out that the Cobol code need to be recompiled and debugged. Vendor advised us to upgrade NETCobol to either .NET ver 6.0 or Windows ver 10.1, in order to run on Windows 2012 servers
Someone who can understand Cobol written code, and recompile and debug the same on a newer version of Cobol i.e. .NET Cobol ver 6 or Windows NetCobol ver 10.1, on Windows 2012 This is a system migration Cobol code from an old version on Windows server 2003 to the new version of NetCobol (.NET and Windows) on windows 2012
