RAN Designer - 3G/Design/Upgrade

I am currently looking for a RAN Designer to work based in the Netherlands for a 6 month rolling contract.

About the Company
To handle the increased workload and upcoming projects, we are looking for a candidate who can fulfil the position of RAN Design Engineer, within the RAN Development domain.

Duties and Responsibilities
Tasks and responsibilities:
Produce High Level and Low Level designs or contribute to cross domain designs, like RNC expansions, replacements or BSC phase outs.
As a designer, participate in and contribute to RAN SW and HW upgrade projects (implementation and/or verification of new software releases);
As a designer participate in and contribute to Pilot of Trial projects;
As a designer, provide support to the roll-out process of SDU Network Deployment;
Contribute and deliver feature introductions and parameter changes in the UTRAN (New Technology Introductions);
Able to troubleshoot performance degradation, faults or configuration problems.
Demonstrate software/feature functionalities in the customer's lab environment.
Daily capacity management of RNC load;
Knowledge of LTE, radio planning and HW/Technology in the radiodomain like RBS, eNodeB, de RNC etc.

Candidate Skills and Requirements
Candidate Profile
Master/Bachelor degree (technical/telecommunications)
Broad Telecoms, IT and Technology experience
Experience with and strong knowledge of 3G Features and their parameters
Strong experience with Network Optimization and Performance Management of 3G Access Networks
Strong experience with and knowledge of GSM/UMTS/LTE Access
Broad overview of GSM/UMTS Access, Core and Transport (Transmission, IP) technologies
- Advanced understanding of Wireless Network architecture, Technologies, concepts and standards (eg 3GPP, ITU-T)
Good Testing Tools knowledge
Basic troubleshooting skills
