Integration Test Manager - System Integration

Tiger Resourcing Solutions are working with a leading global engineering company that specialise in technology solutions.

Our client is seeking a Senior Integration Test Lead/Manager to successfully lead the integration and end to end system testing of large, complex systems - co-ordinating a variety of different internal and external stakeholders on a day-to day basis and creating system integration test plans.

Responsibilities

  • Lead a team of integration testers and developers and have overall accountability for system integration.
  • Analyse and understand of solution requirements, architecture, technical designs and processes in order to define necessary scope of testing.
  • Define integration strategy and communicate strategy to relevant disciplines/stakeholders clearly and appropriately.
  • Create integration test plans.
  • Ensure all system interfaces and functional specifications are exercised.
  • Perform day-to-day coordination of integration test activities.
  • Review test scripts to ensure appropriate tests are created and carried out to fully and correctly verify requirements.
  • Mentor testers on production of test scripts and give direction where necessary.
  • Develop and promote quality testing practices and ensure these are followed by testers. Review test execution and associated test results on a daily basis.
  • Ensure that testing is completed to agreed standards and that business and operational acceptance criteria are met.
  • Organise test brainstorming sessions as necessary.
  • Organise and support client testing sessions as necessary.
  • Contribute to detailed estimates for proposals and budgeting purposes.
  • Liaise with other management and engineering disciplines to ensure project objectives are met.
  • Participate when required in formal meetings with customers and subcontractors.
  • Liaise with and co-ordinate the work of subcontractors and suppliers where required.
  • Report to management on performance against specification, budget, timescale and quality requirements, to identify deviations from plan and carry out corrective action.
  • Keep up-to-date on the latest developments in systems engineering, computers, microprocessors, communications systems and software techniques relevant to the company's operation.
  • Comply with companies Quality Management System.
  • Comply with companies Occupational Health, Safety and Environment policies and procedures.
  • Comply with security in accordance with established policies and procedures of the organisation.
  • In addition to the duties and responsibilities listed, the job holder is required to perform other duties assigned by the supervisor/manager from time to time, as may be reasonably required of them.

Qualifications/Skills

  • Degree Level Education in relevant discipline or equivalent qualifications
  • Certification in a Test Methodology
  • A practitioner's qualification in PRINCE2, ITIL or similar project methodology
  • ISEB Foundation Certificate in Software Testing or equivalent
  • Formal leadership training
  • 5+ years of managing integration testing on large systems
  • 3+ years of leading teams of 10 or greater
  • Demonstrable experience of creating integration test plans for complex integration projects involving multiple 3rd party deliverables
  • Demonstrable experience of managing multi-disciplinary teams, including both internal and external third parties
