Interconnect/Voice Engineer

Leading telecom firm requires an experienced Interconnect/Voice Engineer to work on a long term programme. A proven experience on SBC and HUAWEI is requested.

Responsibilities:
*Must be able to research, evaluate, test and document H/W and S/W components to deliver highly available, scalable and supportable Interconnect architectures as required and negotiated with Service Managers and the business.
*Need to perform detailed evaluations of components making recommendations through presentations and comprehensive engineering documentation.
*Must provide "subject matter" expert assistance to other business or groups.
*Need to ensure all engineering tasks are recorded and completed in a professional and structured manner.
*Must act as third line support in the event of Interconnect problems or issues that are escalated beyond 1st and 2nd line teams.
*Be able to review standards and best practices to identify performance improvements.
Key Skills:
*Must have a minimum of 5 years voice engineering experience.
*Must have engineering experience of CUCM ver 7.x & 8.x and Cisco Unity 5.x and Unity Connection 8.x.
*Must have engineering experience of Avaya & Legacy Nortel Call Server and Contact Centre Platforms, CM / Elite, CS1k / CCMS / CCx, AACC
*Need to have a proven understanding of SIP Session Management and how this technology fits inside and between Service Providers.
*Must have a proven understanding of service provider versions of Oracle Session Border Controller (SBC) technology.
*Must have a proven understanding of the SIP protocol, SIP trunking and IP delivered voice services
*Need to have a proven understanding of security both internal, external and extranet.
*Need to have a good understanding of mobile technology both connectivity and devices.
