Description
Our client in the Brecksville, Ohio area is looking for a local QA/Tester. This is a 3-6 month project.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Participate in document reviews throughout the software life cycle
- Write and execute test cases
- Create test strategy and test plans for projects managed through the iterative development methodology
- Participate in code walk-throughs for all modifications to existing code for application and publishing software
- Coordinate testing activities with others, both onshore as well as offshore
- Communicate the ongoing progress of the project testing effort to the business units and other stakeholders
- Identify resource requirements and create project estimates for testing activities
- Work with developers and project managers to determine testing strategies
- Understand and interpret design requirements and functional specification documentation to create test cases
- Configure hardware and software for testing systems
- Assist in implementation of QA standards and continuous improvement activities
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's Degree in a technical field is desired
- 5+ years in Quality Assurance, systems/application testing, or equivalent combination of education and work experience
- Working knowledge of standard testing methodologies and the software development life cycle
- SQL Scripting knowledge is desired
- Experience with automated test tools is desired
