Description
A federal government department in Canberra requires the services of several Test Analysts.
Candidates will be expected to:
- Analyse specifications and changes required to perform the testing process;
- Write, review and execute test cases;
- Raise defect reports and manage re-testing of defect fixes; and
- Assist with the planning, monitoring and management of the testing process.
Demonstrated system testing experience in a complex large scale environment, with a minimum of 5 years system testing experience including:
Demonstrated experience in being able to analyse complex business and technical specifications; Demonstrated experience with writing, reviewing and executing complex manual test cases; Demonstrated experience in defect management; Demonstrated experience using industry testing tools (eg HP quality Centre, MTM); Demonstrated experience in interrogating and querying databases using tools such as SQL Server Management Studio, and Ability to learn new applications, business processes and procedures quickly.Well developed communication skills including:
Read, comprehend and write technical material effectively; Negotiation and liaison skills; Ability to communicate with staff from technical and non-technical backgrounds; and Presentation skills Demonstrated capacity to work effectively as a team member and as an individual, and provide guidance & mentoring to junior testers, and Demonstrated ability to effectively manage own work against competing priorities and tight deadlines.The contract period is from January 2016 to end June 2016.
