Solutions Architect
Location: Manchester
Duration: Initial 6 months
Sopra Steria Recruitment Ltd (a Steria company) provides recruitment and resourcing solutions to Sopra Steria, a leading European IT service provider.
EXCLUSIVE OPPORTUNITY: This is an exciting new opportunity for an application focused Solutions Architect to support one of Sopra Steria's financial services Clients based in Manchester.
Solutions Architect Essential Skills:
- Application focused solution architect
- Financial services experience would be an advantage but not essential
- Broad experience of architectural areas (Business Architecture; Application Architecture; Information/Data Architecture; Integration Architecture; Infrastructure Architecture).
- Documenting High Level Architecture for a solution within a domain and ensuring that the solution aligns with any organizational principles & policies or standards and aligns to any appropriate reference architecture(s).
- Producing architecture documentation to support any Architecture Solutions Governance Board activity necessary to move projects through key process gateways.
- Contributing to Reference Architecture (eg TAM) at business domain levels.
- Producing and contributing to IT Roadmaps including transition states towards a TAM (Target Architecture Model).
- Producing Current State Assessment of existing IT landscape (technology view, application view, information view) mapped to business functional architecture/business landscape.
- Production of Solution Architecture Documentation for a solution within a domain aligned to any agreed High Level Architecture.
Solutions Architect Desirable Skills:
- Competence in use of Architecture Modelling tools (eg Sparx Systems Enterprise Architect).
- Experience in different process methodologies eg classic waterfall, RUP, Agile
- Financial Services experience, particularly Banking
- Migration and/or Separation experience
