Description of Business Environment:
This requisition offers a highly skilled and motivated Systems Engineer an exciting opportunity to join the world's largest defence company.
Specific Job Description:
Development of systems and software engineering artefacts (eg Systems Engineering Management Plan, Software Development Plan, Integration and Test Plan) to support the technical solution and proposal for the next generation on short range aid defence command and control systems
Decomposition, development and writing of subsystem specifications and interface control documents using DOORS 9.x
Development of solution architectures, using MODAF principals to analysis operational scenarios, system behaviour/states and modes, and how this behaviour is then translated into functional and non-functional requirements
Development of Statements of Work for suppliers
Development and management of architecture models using UML/SysML
Knowledge of the application of one or more of the following tools; DOORS, Sparx Enterprise Architect
Generation and management of engineering Work Packages
Generation of standard Systems and Software Engineering artefacts; eg SSRD, SRS, ICD
Systems Engineering cost estimation and inputs into Basis of Estimates for proposal generation
Technical Proposal writing experience and working within a rapidly moving technical bid team
Knowledge of one or more of the following technical areas
Geographical Information Systems and tools (eg Luciad or ESRI)
The design and application of DDS software systems
Appreciation of radar and C4I systems especially Ground Based Air Defence (GBAD)
Experience of Safety Critical SW development would be advantageous
