Fund Data Business Analyst Luxembourg contract 1-2 years.

Lead Specialist Fund Data Business Analyst. MUST have deep currency hedging background, fund accounting, general hedging.

You will be working on regulatory changes, reimplementation, prime brokerage and hedging so the BA needs to know this intimately.

This role is Luxembourg based for 1-2 year contract. RATE ALL INC 560 EURO DAY.

This will suit a contractor who will make the most of living/staying in Luxembourg for 1-2 years and NOT commute weekly.

  • Support the sales and marketing process by providing transparency into our investment products;
  • Formulation of monthly and quarterly fund-level reports for XXX funds;
  • Formulation and distribution of specific client reports when required;
  • Development of new fund data solutions or changes to existing fund data reporting;
  • Implementation and integration of fund data solutions based on SQL Server and Business Objects reporting for technical solutions and all required other sources for data integrity solutions;
  • Build and maintain relationships with Technology and other Business functions

DAY TO DAY:

  • Business Analyst with strong development experience
  • Work on new fund data solutions or changes to existing data integration and reporting:
    - Analyse business requirements
    - Create functional specifications
    - Propose technical solutions
    - Provide estimates
    - Undertake development work
    - Provide supporting documentation (ie technical specifications, test plans, business procedures etc.);
  • Take responsibility for Quality Assurance for developments as assigned by the Head of Fund Data Services;
  • Stay abreast of new technology and data and make suggestions as to how these can be integrated into new business solutions as appropriate;
  • Will work closely with the broader business community and project managers;
  • Provide project framework and discipline on department wide initiatives.
  • Co-ordinate cross department initiatives

Education - Training and qualification

  • University Degree or equivalent;
  • 3 years of experience within the Fund Industry;
  • Fluency in English is required. Another European language would be an asset;
  • Basic knowledge of funds and financial instruments is required.
  • Management experience would be beneficial

Special Requirements

  • Good IT Skills with basic office packages - Microsoft Office, Excel Word and Access;
  • Knowledge of SQL, Business Objects, Visual Basic and XML;
  • Interest in financial markets;
  • As an advantage, knowledge of major financial information systems (Bloomberg, Lipper, Micropal).
