Description

Nomad is looking for a WordPress developer on a contract basis for initial (and, most likely, ongoing) development of new site, and customization of existing WordPress theme.

The ideal candidate actively works in WordPress, is knowledgeable about the most recent releases and coding standards, and is committed to the details of developing sites that are both beautiful and functional.

The main focus of the site is content discovery; but it's important to note that there is no e-commerce aspect to the site. User's can add to a wishlist, but not purchase content for phase 1 of the project.

NOTE: This is not a position for someone new to WordPress. Experienced developers only.

The candidate should meet the following criteria:

Expert knowledge of WordPress, PHP, MySQL, HTML, jQuery, CSS, and Javascript

Intimate understanding of WordPress theme architecture, functions, hooks, custom post types

Expert at developing using WordPress standards

Has basic visual design experience - enough to get in trouble

Experience working off detailed wireframes

An ability to contribute design ideas when wireframes are unrealistic, inadequate or don't address an issue

Excellent written communication skills
