I am currently recruiting for a Web Analyst on a 3 month contract for a large retail client based in the West Midlands area.The Web Analyst will use Omniture's SiteCatalyst & Google Analytics to extract and report on data trends.
The successful candidate will help colleagues in a range of departments around the business on how to use the tools to run their own reports. Analysing, interpreting and presenting the results in regular and ad-hoc reports; as well as triangulating the data with marketing data sets to seek explanations for observed web traffic trends.
The role involves working cross functionally with a number of areas across the organisation to ensure that colleagues can access the right data/insight to drive action to improve performance.
Additionally they will produce regular and ad-hoc reports giving insight on aspects of web traffic performance. This ranges from top-level monitoring of KPIs for senior management to segmentation of the data to investigate causes of site underperformance or growth for hands-on sales and publishing teams.
Experience required:
Good knowledge of digital analytics / web analytics.
Significant workplace experience of web analytics tools, ideally Omniture's Site Catalyst and Google Analytics
Excellent communication skills; the ability to explain complex technical information to a non-technical audience
Excellent Excel knowledge to manipulate data and the ability to automate reports An interest in business strategy and the use of web analytics to provide business insight.
Desirable
Ability to write SQL to query SQL Server and Access Knowledge of Tealium or other tag management tools
Experience of standard BI tools SEO knowledge
Contract Rate £280 - £320 Per day
