A Greater Manchester based client are currently recruiting for a Microsoft Windows Azure Infrastructure Consultant for a 3 month contract.As an Infrastructure Consultant you will oversee the implementation of Windows Azure and should be an expert in this area.
You will need strong communication skills as you will be engaging with a number of internal and external stakeholders.
The role has come about due to one of the clients customers wanting to host their software on Azure as opposed to on-premise as they historically have. For this reason they don't have the level of Azure experience in the team that is required and need to strengthen this area to service the client.
To be suitable for the role you should have experience in;
- Windows Azure - set up, management and documentation
- Experience supporting during the period of configuration & testing
- Training and up-skilling other team members
- Firewalls
After the conclusion of the project you will be handing over to the on site support team and at this moment, it is unlikely that there will be an extension.
The client are looking to interview as soon as this week and will be ideally looking for someone to start before Christmas - if this isn't possible they can wait until mid/end January but the sooner the better.
The contract will be paid between £300-£350/day.
