Description

My client a multinational technological company are looking for a Finance manager who will be based in Guildford but will also be required to travel to Birmingham twice a month for a 2 day trip each time (staying overnight) as well as going to London once a month so you must be flexible and able to travel.

Key responsibilities will include:
Providing all finance and accounting support for 3 companies, Partner with Managers and Business Managers to provide regular reporting, analytics and business intelligence;
Working with the leadership teams to play a key role in all financial business planning processes including: Long Range Planning (LRP), Target Setting, Quarterly Forecasting and Fiscal Year Budgeting;
Partner with Business Leads on day-to-day details (contracts, payments and all internal financial processes) and provide ongoing feedback and insight into business strategy, business models and investments decisions for the Core Games team including changes to financial PORs, variance analysis, scenario modelling and sensitivity analysis;
Develop and maintain historical and current ROI projections for game titles and franchises, including all components of the P&L (Revenue, COGS, R&D Spend, Marketing Spend). Publish detailed game title P&Ls, including variance analysis to budget and forecast;
Conduct ongoing studio opex, headcount and title P&L reviews with GMs and Business/Team leads;
Drive analysis around emerging business models, including Entertainment as a Service (EaaS) business models.

Qualifications and desired characteristics:
Relevant Accountancy qualifications (ACCA/ACA/CIMA) desirable but equivalent experience (5-7 years of demonstrated financial analysis work experience) also considered;
Very strong spreadsheet competency with Excel required. Knowledge of MS Finance tools (eg, MS Sales, Mercury, SAP, Alfred, Informa, Headtrax, MS People) will be considered a significant asset;
Strong analytical and problem solving skills and attention to detail and reporting accuracy;
Demonstrate keen interest in the entertainment industry (video games, movies, music, interactive entertainment);
Great partnering and interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively with a variety of levels of personnel. Proactive in sharing knowledge and experiences openly;
Good organisational skills, and the ability to manage multiple projects and competing tasks/priorities;
Detailed oriented & thorough, with ability to think "big picture" and understand the key trends and levers that drive the business
