Senior Hadoop Developer & Architect
Tremendous opportunity for a Senior Hadoop Developer & Architect to join a dynamic organization and work on an enterprise mission critical project.
You will be responsible for driving full life cycle development of a new Hadoop Big Data solution including design and architecture, coding, testing, documentation, and implementation. Other responsibilities include providing technical leadership, planning & supporting application integration, performance analysis, configuration, research technical solutions and products and make recommendations, mentoring, and support.
We are developing a solution where we can take disparate data that is in a variety of different systems/applications and centralize it for data analytics, reporting, etc.
This is an initial 3 month contract with the option to extend through the end of 2016 that is based in Marietta area. Great work environment and the opportunity to work a flexible schedule.
REQUIRED SKILLS:
- 7+ years of application development experience
- 2+ years of Big Data experience including design, development, & deployment
- Architecture and Design experience
- Strong Hadoop experience
- Java development experience
- Big Data frameworks (prefer experience (prefer Clouders or Biginsights )
- PIG, Hive, and Oozie
- Macros
- Performance tuning experience
- Ability to provide technical leadership and drive projects
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Consultative personality
