Senior SQL DBA - Bristol

£300 to £350 per day dependant on experience

3 Months Contract

A key client of Computer Futures are looking to take on a Senior SQL DBA to take charge of their BI Projects in an extremely focused and successful environment. The location is central Exeter. SQL Server experience along with SSIS, SSAS, SSRS and Data Warehousing is essential.

Key responsibilities:
  • Primary contact for all SQL Server related queries and issues with the Internal Applications team, including consultancy on DB Design for new and existing systems
  • Administration of all SQL Server installations across the team (performance monitoring, backup, recovery, availability, etc)
  • Working in partnership with Group Internal Applications Manager and Development Technical Lead to create the long term strategy for SQL Server within the team, including future technological recommendations
  • Overseeing the team's delivery of the SQL Server Roadmap
  • Defining and ensuring the team are adhering to quality control procedures and standards
  • Overseeing and performing code promotion from Dev to Test to Live Environments
  • Create and maintain technical documentation
  • Perform upgrades of SQL Server Databases


This is a fantastic and rare opportunity that will involve Line manager contact ensuring line reports are supported.
