Description

This assignment is focused on provision of procurement services to two L&G affiliate organisations, Cofunds and Suffolk Life & supporting an accelerated move to a model of support and engagement via the leveraged GPSM procurement category team.

The assignment requires the individual to play a number of key roles to maintain the current engagement but also to help accelerate the engagement to more of a BAU run and maintain model via the leveraged Category team within GPSM as mentioned above.

Knowledge, Skills and Experience Requirements:

* Strong communication skills - written and verbal
* Experience of transformations desired.
* Strong negotiation and influencing skills
* Collaborative/Business Partnering approach and background
* Flexible and proactive approach
* Strong sourcing and indirect procurement expertise at managerial level.
* Category knowledge including IT, Professional Services and Property.
* Strong commercial acumen, able to understand business aims and objectives and communicate in 'non-procurement' language with senior stakeholders.
* Contract drafting skills
* Working knowledge of outsourcing an advantage.
* Able to work in a complex and changing environment with demanding business objectives & stakeholders
* Proven strong stakeholder management and communication skills to engage within all levels of the business, particularly at C-level.
* Strategic thinker, well-organised, with an ability to analyse and recommend appropriate courses of action.
* Good project management skills, being able to work autonomously but also as a team player with the procurement and SRM teams as well as Cofunds and Suffolk Life teams
* Ability to manage and reprioritise multiple projects at the same time and work calmly under pressure and at short notice.
* Individual is ideally degree-qualified and/or hold MCIPS accreditation.
* Awareness and previous use of typical sourcing and P2P tools.
