Network Engineer - Birmingham - £40,000Computer Futures are currently working with a key client seeking an experienced Senior Network Engineer to be based in their Birmingham office.
This is an ideal role for a talented and proactive individual with proven experience within a Cisco service provider environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Design, build, and commission LANs and WANs
Project plan, configure and deploy network infrastructure hardware
Monitor health of clients' network infrastructure
Provide second and third line support to clients via telephone and email for the range of the clients' services
To provide diagnosis and resolution of issues raised by clients
Report and manage issues through our wholesale suppliers
Keeping clients up to date at all times
Answering clients' questions
An ideal candidate will have the following skills and experience:
Good communication skills
Applying security principles to network design and configuration
Higher education (HND or BSc) in an IT discipline
Previous experience working for an ISP/Managed Service Provider
CCNP Service Provider or be close to achieving certification
Cisco Nexus experience
Cisco Session Broder Control experience
Cisco ASR, ASA and IronPort experience
WatchGuard firewall experience
