A leading Defence company require a Software Engineer to develop products for an Oracle Database. This role is based in Warton and will pay £37.00 p/h.
*Job Description*
This role is for a Software Developer to join a small team developing a suite of products that make up the Typhoon Engineering Support Subsystem (ESS). The ESS is primarily an Oracle database with .NET (C#/WPF) desktop client and windows tablet software developed using Visual Studio but also contains a number of smaller niche utilities.
*Key Responsibilities*
- Analyse system requirements to influence the software design and contribute to project planning.
- Implement and configure new functionality ensuring a maintainable code base.
- Produce Unit/Module Tests & Software Documents with the appropriate coverage.
- Provide software support to the Systems Build, Integration & Test Teams during formal qualification activities.
*The Individual*
- Comprehensive C# ability
- Experience with WPF
- Experience with Winforms, Oracle, ClearCase, VB6
