Wind farm Construction Manager - Scotland (6 month contract work)
Highly commanding opportunity has accord to join an innovative high tech wind turbine manufacturing company. You will be working with a young innovative company who designs, develops and project manages wind turbines around the globe.
We are looking for a Construction Manager to be out on site and working along side project management and health and safety teams for the wind energy market in the UK.
Key scope and responsibilities
- Provide continuous technical support on wind farm construction sites starting with the construction of access roads and crane platforms through cable installation up to foundation construction works.
- Monitor and implement occupational health and safety on the construction site.
- Introduction and coordination of own and client's subcontractors.
- Monitor and ensure construction process and progress according to project planning.
- QA, inspection, on-site measurement and taking over of executed (additional) work of construction and electrical engineering trades.
- Continuous reporting to the Project Managers and the Senior Site Manager.
- Monitor and taking over of the installation of the wind energy converter.
Knowledge and experience
- Degree in engineering (University/University of Applied Sciences) in the field of civil engineering, alternatively civil engineering technician.
- First experience in site management would be an advantage as well as basic knowledge in project management.
- Good knowledge in MS Office.
- Unrestricted ability to work at heights.
- Self-confident, highly proactive personality who is convincingly team-oriented.
- High level of flexibility and geographical mobility as well as willingness to frequently go on international business trips
- Excellent command of the English language
- In possession of a full UK driver´s license
