Role: Scrum Master / Agile Coach
Project Context:
A key project at Novartis that is designing and deploying a new global Submission Document Management System is seeking a senior-level Scrum/Agile Coach with 5+ years of experience on Agile projects, preferably in the Pharma industry.
The project is developing a new system to replace several existing document management systems that have been in place for many years. The system implementation approach is to use the standard package software from the vendor as far as possible; customization must be minimized. The project has been running for 2 years and the first release is nearly ready for deployment. The scope and requirements definition for the next 2 releases started in December 2015.
Role:
The candidate will provide coaching on best-practices to other scrum masters on the project and be prepared to act as scrum master in scrum teams if required.
The scrum master champions the defined iterative process that will be used on the project, facilitates effective discussions within the scrum team(s) to ensure that the work defined for each iteration is completed.
In the role of Agile coach, the candidate provides practical guidance to the project on best practice in organizing heterogeneous teams which are not co-located and ensures continuous improvement through retrospectives.
The primary goal is to ensure that system implementation is completed within the defined timeline.
Requirements:
- Effective facilitation of scrum meetings, guiding a team of subject matter experts from IT and Business to achieve the work defined for each step in the iterative process.
- Experienced in the practical application of the Scrum master role in Agile/Iterative system development.
- Experience in the use of scrum tools (preferably ScrumDo). Able to generating progress reports from the scrum tool, including burndown charts and other useful reports illustrating the progress and remaining work for a given release
- Scrum Master certification
- Familiarity with GxP and experience working with validated systems would be an advantage
