Wintel Administrator - Daily Rate Contract - Dublin
Working as part of a team providing operational and administrative support, including, maintaining Microsoft systems, security vulnerabilities patch management, Server reliability and performance.
Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities include -
Participate in the deployment of Microsoft Operating Systems & Third Party Products Security Vulnerabilities Patch Management within Data Centres and in-country Servers across the EMEA region.
Control the deployment and maintenance of operating system patches, hot fixes and security vulnerabilities
Responsible for maintaining a 90%+ Patching compliance levels for all Wintel Servers
Responsible for all physical and Virtual assets and their related software, ensuring they are maintainable and secure
All assets and their configuration items (CI) are correctly maintained via the CMDB
Support current systems, programs, equipment to provide operational integrity, security and maintenance
Support activities in the testing and invocation of DR with the Server Environments across the EMEA region
Internal Audit - Process/Procedures, Privileged Accounts and Physical Access lists are reviewed and maintained regularly
Responsible for the SLA/SLO achievements for all Incidents and Requests
Wintel Ops On-call Rota - availability maybe required to support Severity 1 and 2 incident
Ensure Server backups are successful and remediate with urgency
Ensure adherence to internal procedures and processes for hardware, software deployment
Develop, modify, maintain, improve, and troubleshoot existing procedures.
Perform hardware and software recovery where needed
Generate and maintain reports and documentation
Technical Expertise:
3+ years in an IT Operations role
ITIL Foundation
Expert level of Windows 2008 and 2012 operating systems and working knowledge of the following Unix, DBA, Linux, Citrix & Storage
Senior level support of VMware and Active Directory
Understanding of Networks, DNS, DHCP, Desktop, Security, Patch & security management services
Language - English & German advantageous
MSCE qualifications
