A rare Erlang contract opportunity has arisen with an exciting company in Paris , France.
This client is a specialist in communication & offer a variety of different platforms to help people communicate using voice, video & messaging technology regardless of their location across the globe.
The successful candidate would be able to get their teeth stuck into some exciting projects as there's currently a big workload ready to be attacked.
The key responsibilities for this role are as follows:
- To have a strong influence on the tools & technology the team uses with regards to Erlang
- Advise on Erlang best practise & help to overcome any potential future issues
- Analyse trends or patterns in complex data sets
- Acquire data and maintain databases/data systems
- Work both independently & as part of a team where appropriate
Essential requirements:
- Commercial experience with the Erlang functional programming language
- Experience with MySQL databases
- Familiarity with other languages such as C/Python/C++ etc...
- Knowledge of test driven development
- Experience with RabbitMQ
Please note, this role would initially require at least 2 days on-site in the Paris office. This is likely to decrease as the contract progresses.
