Description

We are currently looking for a experienced Database Administrator Oracle to work in Brussels, Belgium. This is a contract position for 6 months with the possibility to extend.

Your main responsibilities:

  • You are responsible to execute activities related to the setting up of one or both Oracle, Oracle Exadata, Microsoft SQL stacks according to the approved architecture documents (ASD)
  • Setting-up testing and automation of database stack deployment.
  • Documentation and presentation of the solution.
  • Setting-up of monitoring and backup solutions.
  • Setting-up of security and auditing baselines
  • Assist in improving and innovation database platform.
  • Scrupulous follow-up of the rules and the respect for quality, KPI, security baselines and system policies.

Your profile:

  • Relevant university degree or equivalent in one of the following subject areas: Computer Science, Information Technology or related field preferred.
  • Certified Oracle (10g/11g/12c) or certified Microsoft SQL Server ) or equivalent on experience.
  • Exadata administration knowledge would be considered an asset.
  • Similar implementation project experience would be considered an asset.
  • Min 5 years in the Database domain specially as DBA..
  • You talk and write fluently French and English.
  • You are familiar with ITIL and IT Service management (roles and processes)

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Available for week-end or out of office hours interventions.
  • Demonstrate excellent written and oral communications skills with the ability to articulate technical solutions for both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Ability to plan, organize and work on multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Demonstrate initiative, self-motivation, perseverance, patience and flexibility and being goal oriented with keen attention to detail.
  • Capable of multi-tasking and working with a variety of people.
  • A desire to exceed project, client and co-worker expectations
  • Ability to present ideas in user-friendly language
