Network and System Design Engineer > SS7, SIP SOAP, RESTful APIs, SSL/TLS, GSM, UMTS, LTE
A leading telecoms carrier based in Brussels are searching for an experienced Mobile Network and Systems Engineer with good knowledge of GSM, UMTS & LTE.
The successful candidate will lead analysis, design, development and implementation of network solutions and OSS systems (Operational Support Systems) based on business, technical, operational (provisioning, service assurance) or regulatory requirements.
The main tasks will be to analyse and assess technical solutions, participate in small to medium size implementation projects (from an end-to-end perspective), write functional and technical specifications and RFP documents. The Network and system design engineer will also participate in in the implementation of technical solutions and be the preferred technical representative on conferences and standardization meetings.
We are searching for candidates with experience of 2G, 3G & LTE with an overall view of mobile core and an understanding of call-flows with strong knowledge of SS7, SIP SOAP, RESTful APIs. Applicants will have at least 6 years' experience in telecom industry and emerging technologies such as WebRTC, Voice Over LTE (VoLTE). You will also have good knowledge of security concepts (designing secure APIs, SSL/TLS).
Essential Skills Overview:
- At least 6 years professional experience in telecom or IT environment.
- Good experience in the following domains: 2G, 3G, LTE
- Overall view of the mobile core and understanding of call-flows is considered an asset.
- Strong technical knowledge in the following areas: SS7, SIP SOAP, RESTful APIs
- Good knowledge of emerging technologies like WebRTC, Voice Over LTE (VoLTE) is considered as an asset.
- Good knowledge on security concepts (designing secure APIs, SSL/TLS,)
- Good understanding of IP technologies and protocols is considered as an asset.
- Background with OTTs and cloud computing is preferred.
