Description
*Experienced Marketing & Events Officer required for 2 month contract for key public sector client based in Glasgow area*
Our client requires a strong candidate to assist in developing and implementing a national marketing campaign to help position them as a prime location for inward investment and a first-class visitor destination. The post holder will also provide dedicated marketing support and will develop national marketing campaigns to promote the client's event programme.
Key areas of the role include:
- Developing an area ambassador programme
- Designing advertising campaigns
- On-site marketing
- Direct marketing
- Producing case studies
- Co-ordinating partnership marketing
- Securing sponsorship
- Developing a presence at events
- Web development
- Digital marketing
- Content development.
Essential
- A degree in marketing or equivalent
- Previous experience in a similar marketing role - location marketing
- Experience developing and implementing strategic marketing campaigns to client specifications, including buying media
- Experience developing and implementing successful tourism/visitor destination marketing campaigns
- Experience of arranging and managing events
- Experience of designing and planning social media campaigns
- Strong and confident communicator
- Excellent digital and social media skills
- Excellent copywriting skills
- Ability to produce clear and concise written reports and deliver effective presentations
- Ability to manage and meet the expectations of diverse stakeholders
- Ability to manage conflicting deadlines
- Ability to liaise at a senior level with internal and external contacts
Desirable
- Public sector experience
- Ability to write for the web and managing CMS
- Experience of working in a regeneration or commercial property marketing role
- Ability to work with minimum supervision
- Driving licence
