Description
My Client is looking for an experienced Software Engineer to join the Core engineering team. You will need to share a passion for tackling complexity with simplicity and building platforms that can scale through multiple orders of magnitude.You will be responsible for developing, deploying and managing software across the full Continuous Delivery life-cycle.
In addition you will be:
- Building high-performance, massively-scalable, always-available Cloud-based systems.
- Working with the infrastructure team to optimize hardware and software integration
- Participating in the architectural design, innovation and development of new services
- Supporting and trouble-shooting, occasionally outside of regular office hours when needed
You will need to have:
- Expert knowledge developing and debugging distributed applications in a Windows environment
- Outstanding .NET development skills, understanding .NET and Windows internals
- Extensive knowledge of large storage systems, distributed storage systems and file system internals
- Knowledge of one or more .NET programming languages
- Understanding continuous deployment and SCMs, such as SVN or Git
- Experience with scripting languages like JavaScript and PowerShell
- Extensive knowledge of database servers and SQL
- Experience with network programming including SOAP, REST, HTTP and raw TCP/IP sockets
