C#/VB.Net Web Developer - Contract - York - Long term contractA leading organisation in York are looking to recruit a number of contractors to work on a number of C# and VB.Net web development projects, as part of an agile team.
Working on a number of existing work streams initially (first 2-3 months), before moving on to brand new Greenfield projects, this will be a great opportunity to work with similar contract developers, on a high transactional extremely profitable ecommerce system.
The right web developer / .Net Developer will need to be experienced working with a number of key web technologies, using both C# and VB.Net as programming languages. The full list of technologies needed are listed below, though this list is not completely essential for all, so please still apply if you're missing a couple.
Key Skills:
* Both C# and VB.Net programming experience
* Strong ASP.Net/MVC experience
* XML/XPath
* SQL Server database work
* Frontend technologies (not a front end role but definitely need to be able to work with the designers) - HTML/CSS, JavaScript
* Ideally some Angular.JS experience, though this is not essential, and if you don't have it, it will be a good chance to develop/learn it
* Agile approaches
There are a number of requirements here, so there will definitely be scope to work on different areas, and in different teams - all making team fit really important.
Lasting at least 6 months, (more likely to be 12-15 months), and based in York (walkable from the train station and with good bus links), this is a superb opportunity for someone to get involved in a number of Greenfield and Brownfield projects for a huge ecommerce organisation.
They are looking to pay up to £300/day, but are able to offer great working conditions, a chance to work with some new technologies, and working on ecommerce systems.
