Description
A Renewable Energy client is looking for a Foundations Quality Engineer to work on Offshore Windfarm foundation components, reporting to the Interface Manager. This role will be split between the West Midlands office, with at least 3 days a week working in the Netherlands at the Fabrication yards. The Foundations Quality Engineer will support and lead quality activities for the OWF project.The windfarm is in construction phase with most major packages tendered for. The Quality Engineer will work in the Interface team and will work under the supervision of the Quality Manager.
Responsibilities:
- Provide Quality Management for the project, advising and interfacing with all of the relevant project members on all aspect of QA as required.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of project quality documentation.
- Review/comment and align contractor QA tender submissions with the Rampion project requirements
- Liaise with Central team to ensure that standards are incorporated
- Define project QA inspection requirements and programme into the main project schedule.
- Carry out, supervise and manage quality audits/inspections/reports at contractors/manufacturers premises as required to meet the quality requirements of this project
- Produce non QA compliance reports and recommendations on a regular basis for submission to senior management
- Support the package Team in robust corrective and preventive action on issues identified during the QA process.
- The QA engineer should be a Quality Assurance professional with extensive experience of controlling the quality aspects on major capital projects within the power generation.
- Experience on offshore windfarms and the associated contracts, such as offshore cable supply, offshore substation and associated equipment and wind turbines.
- Experience on the manufacture of major steel fabrications and coating.

Mobility: Clean Driving Licence desirable & need for travel within the UK and Europe, particularly Belgium and Holland.
