Job description
Information/Network Security - Expert will ensure the proper technical operation of the network and security infrastructure.
This includes in particular the following tasks:
- Maintain the network and network security service and ensure it's up and running.
- Monitor and manage the various subdomains of the system for applications, systems and end users
- Perform proactive analysis
- Solve operational and complex problems, document the analysis results and solution approach and inform engineers or users about issues and breakdowns
- Organising brainstorming to find solutions.
- Prepare, document, implement and verify changes(configuration updates and upgrades) and communicate on the planned works.
- Formulate, document and implement proposals for improvements of procedures, processes and tools
- Assist and train network engineers
2. Implementation of new systems and solutions (in collaboration with colleagues, project managers, customers, IT Security, and suppliers) to continuously improve and develop the IT infrastructure of the or to meet project requirements
This includes in particular the following tasks:
- Providing input to the project like determining the necessary scope, cost, time and resources
- Participate in the design and ensure that the delivered designs are aligned
- Evaluate the impact
- Development of procedures and processes
- Document, plan and execute complex technical implementations taking into account the defined service levels (hours, disaster recovery, availability).
- Monitoring the implementation of solutions.
- Delivery of the build and component documentation

Minimum 5 to 7 years of relevant operational experience with at least 3 of the following domains and products:
- Switching skills: Cisco Catalyst & Nexus series
- Routing skills: BGP, EIGRP, OSPF, ...
- QOS skills for datacenter, Campus and remote branches
- Cisco Wi-Fi Infrastructure
- Experience in 802.1x (NAC) implementation
Nice To have's
- Network sniffing & troubleshooting tools
- Radius & Tacacs
- Infoblox DNS & DHCP Appliances
- - CCIE or CCNP certification in routing & switching, data center, voice or wireless
