Description
I run an online auction on a WordPress blog through user-submitted posts to support a not-for-profit charity.I want to use Gravity Forms for these user-submitted posts because I want to use a third-party plugin to manage user image uploads through GF. But I want the user registration process to be invisible to users: I don’t want people to have to login or to go through different steps if they’ve previously submitted posts or not. (This is how the plugin I am currently using works, but I can’t integrate user image uploads with it.)
This is what I want GF to do: when people submit a post, they include their email address. Gravity Forms and its User Registration Addon should then take the email address and check the database to see if it is already assigned to a user. If the email address is not already assigned to a user, then GF should create the user in the ordinary way and assign the user as the author of the post. If it is, then GF should just create the post with that user as the author.
I would need this work completed by mid-March.
