Description
An exciting new compliance role has come on to the market for an experienced retail banking compliance manager with experience in financial promotions and compliance advisory across general insurance products (travel, car, holiday, home etc) to join a leading retail bank based in Northampton.The role sits within compliance for the financial promotions team, where you will act as a key point of contact for less experienced team members. Having direct line management experience or have experience in coaching team members is desirable.
Knowledge in most of the following is required:
- ICOBs
- COBs
- Cap Code
- Advertising Standards Agency
- CONC
- Misleading Practices
- Consumer Rights Act
You will be required to advise a small team on complex sign off queries (50-65%) and be involved in bank wide project work relating to financial promotions across general insurance. There is also an expectation to attend committee meetings.
We want someone who is able to interpret rules and regulations to insure all promotional material is in line with regulation so we would also be interested in speaking with someone from a legal background with exposure to financial services or an house lawyer at a retail bank/insurer.
