Description

A Renewable Energy client is looking for a Consultant to work as Geotechnical Engineer for their offshore wind farm project. The Geotechnical Engineer should have experience within the interpretation of geotechnical factual data, parameter derivation and the writing of Geotechnical Interpretative reports. A knowledge of offshore operations and foundation design is preferable. This role is for approx. 6 months to start 1st April 2016 and ends approx. 30 September 2016 with the possibility of further extension. This will be 5 days a week, 8 hours in average.
Responsibilities:
  • Input for project due diligence and preliminary concept evaluation
  • Technical SoW geotechnical surveys, including laboratory tests and Employers representatives
  • Technical Quality of geotechnical survey, laboratory testing and other specialised geotechnical testing's pile load tests and anchor trials
  • Manage geotechnical database and compile the geotechnical interpretative report (GIR)

Qualifications:

  • MSc or other relevant Master or PhD degree in engineering
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant work experience as geotechnical engineer
  • Minimum 3 years of relevant work experience
  • Experience with offshore wind farm projects

Special Provisions:
The Consultant must bring his/her own PC with MS Office 2007 software or newer and mobile telephone
Onshore and Offshore works: The Consultant shall bring his/her own PPE
