Senior Data Warehouse Engineer - £55k

Computer Futures are seeking an experienced Data Warehouse Engineer who can work within our client's Database Development Team based in Bristol. The ideal candidate will have extensive SQL Server 2008, 2012, 2014 database experience, and ideally at least 2 years data warehouse design knowledge using the Kimball methodology or star schema design. You will be working within an team of developers utilising the latest design principles for developing data warehouses on a wide range of Marketing and Campaign Management projects.

You will be responsible for the design and build of the data warehouse, the development of the ETL process using SSIS and the delivery of high quality, robust and properly unit tested solutions to our product owners.

Essential Skills:?

-At least 2 years data warehouse design ideally using Kimball methodology (or other methodology i.e. Inmon, 3NF)

-At least 3 years SQL server 2008 or 2012 plus SSIS experience

- At least 5 years SQL Server T-SQL development experience

- Microsoft Certified Developer(MCSD and MCSE preferred)

- Source Control using Visual Studio Team Foundation Server (TFS)

- Performance Tuning or DBA experience using SQL Server

- Experience of working with a large ETL tool (preferably Informatica)

- Business Analysis and Scoping of Client Requirements and Deliverables

- An excellent communicator to both internal and external audiences in a Client-facing role

- Software and application development experience with the ability to understand the full solution

Desirable Skills:

- Experience of SQL Server 2014

- Test Automation experience using either TST or TSQLUnitExperience of Data Quality and Data

- Experience of NoSQL (preference MongoDB or HDFS/Hadoop)

- Experience of working in an project process environment or with another other Agile methodology
