QA Functional Tester / London / Financial Services / 6 month contract / £400-£500pd.QA functional tester is required for my client in the financial services industry. The QA functional tester role is a 6month contract paying up to £500pd. As the QA functional tester you will be responsible to Execute tasks/assignments, concurrently on 1 or more projects, according to project plans, to meet schedule, budget, quality, and other applicable requirements whilst maintaining Test execution scripts, documentation and results in the appropriate testing tools.
The successful candidate will meet the following criteria:
- Good working knowledge of FIX protocol
- Experience with Trade Registration, Trading, OTC systems
- Good understanding of derivatives market
- Ability to query databases (MS SQL)
- Knowledge of Testing Techniques/Methods/Tools
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Able to apply a common sense approach to their work
- Testing Experience in a professional role, preferably in the Financial, Commodities or Insurance market
- Ideally some previous experience working for Exchanges or with Order Management Systems
- Working knowledge of Windows, Unix and Linux Operating Systems
