This Job Can be Done Remotely, Anywhere in the World, however we prefer those who work during hours that overlap at least 2 hours each day with the Eastern U.S.This is a Freelance / Project Based Position and will likely be part-time with bursts of full-time development required.
Project Background
We are developing a platform for human, team, and organizational performance. This platform will require a recommendation engine that is informed by natural language processing and machine learning in order to make algo driven recommendations.
Ideal Experience / Skills
NLP
Proven experience developing software solutions that include features that rely on NLP insight mining and are built on or with Open Source NLP Engines and Frameworks including:
- DKPro Core
- Stanford NLP
- Gate + Apache UIMA
- Apache NLP
- Apache Lucene + Solr
Machine Learning
Additional experience integrating NLP with Machine Learning is a HUGE PLUS. Examples of OpenSource Machine Learning skills we would prefer to see in your background would include one or more of the following:
- Weka
- Mahout
- Apache Spark
- Scikit-learn
- DeepLearning4J
Our preference is for candidates who have previously and successfully architected, designed, and built an NLP engine that is integrated in some way with machine learning for improving recommendations over time.
