Job Description:
The Information Technology Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) team is a primary finance partner for the Information Technology organization. We provide analysis to support strategic decisions, conduct financial reviews of a wide range of business issues and manage financial processes such as long range planning, budgeting, forecasting, reporting, costing and tracking performance.
Essential Functions:
- Provides project, service line or product line management, management consulting, and analytical decision support services or technical expertise for a broad array of financial and operational issues.
- Responsible for complex multi-faceted projects and analyses across disciplines and functional areas.
- Assists in developing performance monitoring processes and coordinating compilation, interpretation and presentation of monitoring information.
- Participates in the planning and development of regional, departmental and/or functional budgets.
- May be responsible for budget system completion, high level reviews and conducting area wide analyses for target development.
- Responsible for leading ongoing user education and management consulting on use and interpretation of analysis, reports, methodologies, systems and source data.
- Provides guidance on technical matters and acts as a significant information resource.
- Coordinates as liaison between business line and technology partners on financial system requirements.
Required Education and Experience:
- BA in Finance or Accounting OR 4years' experience in a directly related field
- Minimum 10 years' direct financial analysis experience
- Management/Supervisory Experience required - oversight of team
Required Skills:
- Strong exposure to Cognos/TM1 and proven track record of supporting system and functionality upgrades, and process improvements in a large-scale organization
- Expert proficiency Excel including advanced functions such as graphics, pivot tables, macros, database management
- Working knowledge of databases inclusive of Access
- Ability to perform deep dives into underlying assumptions and quantitative/qualitative details of all analyses while making recommendations for process and functionality based on insights you develop
- Knowledge to develop and maintain complex financial models
- Provide value-added analysis to highlight opportunities or issues to support strategic initiatives
Additional Requirements:
- Regularly contributes to the development of new financial analysis concepts, techniques, and standards
- Frequently contributes to the development of new financial analysis theories and methods
- Experience with implementation/development of financial planning tools, preferably Cognos/TM1
- Effective interpersonal, communication and presentation skills
- Aptitude to work cross-functionally in complex, large-scale organization
