Finance Planning and Reporting Manager - 6 months - Nottinghamshire - Negotiable Daily Rate
A leading Energy and Utilities client of Pontoon is looking for a Finance Manager with a high level of experience in Planning Reporting to join their site in Nottinghamshire as part of their central Finance function.
Job Purpose:-
Lead and own all financial aspects relating to Planning and Reporting of Residential CoCo and FTE, providing support to Res Exec through delivering insight and challenge on performance
Working alongside Finance Business Partners and Operational stakeholders to challenge areas of cost inefficiency, control weakness and expenditure above forecast and plan
Key Skills Required:-
- Relevant Accountancy Qualification (CIMA, ACCA, ACA) - with extensive post qualification experience
- Ability to build excellent working relationships at all levels, with strong orientation to supporting customers and stakeholders. Demonstrate a passion for the business.
- Strong numerical and analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and information and present it in a clear and logical format. Very high levels of financial and commercial acumen
- Demonstrable success in delivering and improving core finance processes - management accounting, forecasting and reporting
- Excellent oral and written communication, interpersonal, influencing and presentation skills
- The ability to consistently support decision makers and produce high quality work to tight deadlines
- Ability to lead and develop a team
- Ability to work autonomously, initiate and deliver change
- An innovative approach, driving imaginative solutions to problems and capable of challenging conventional business thinking
- Degree educated, relevant professional or accounting qualification an advantage
Responsibilities:
- Lead the development of CoCo budgets and forecasts in line with stakeholder requirements to enable the Residential leadership to manage the business. Residential CoCo c£300m.
- Provide insight and create scenario positions to inform and drive decisions to meet Residential CoCo performance targets.
- Lead the provision of analysis, interpretation and communication of actual performance against financial plans at Residential level, using a sound knowledge of the business, working highly collaboratively with finance business partners, operational and commercial stakeholders
- Finance business partnering to the Residential Director regarding Residential Management cost centre
- Focus on continuous improvement on all aspects of responsibility, identifying opportunities and working with the business to deliver. Ensure team adopt the ways of working required to deliver an efficient and effective operation.
