Commercial Manager - Home Office £480 - £580 p/day
Excellent opportunity for a Commercial Manager to join the Home Office to work directly with the Emergency Services Mobile Communications Programme (ESMCP) in a mixed team of Civil Servants, Emergency Services stakeholders, contracted support staff and consultants.
Key experience required for the Commercial Manager :
- Work experience of developing category strategies
- Proven history of working effectively with a multi-disciplinary team
- E xperience of managing external stakeholders and internal customers with good interpersonal skills
- Excellent communications skills to produce reports and presentations to executive management
- A ble to review and analyse large quantities of information to distil key information
- Demonstrable experience in a similar commercial and procurement management role within a large Public and or Private Sector Organisation with multiple projects and governance bodies
- Working knowledge and ability to work within the HMT 5-case Business case structure with experience of contributing to the development of successful commercial cases
- Experience of commercial risk assurance, approvals
- Familiarity and practitioner of lean methods in procurement (per Cross- Government agenda on lean procurement)
- Experience and knowledge BRAVO e-Sourcing tool
- MCIPS qualified or working towards MCIPS qualification, or equivalent business degree
- PRINCE 2 Practitioner or an equivalent level of experience or with experience of similar project management methodology
The successful Commercial Manager will develop the ESMCP Devices Project procurement strategy and payment options, pricing framework and charging mechanisms. The Commercial Manager will support the development of contractual terms and conditions and schedules ensuring they meet the business needs of Emergency Service Stakeholders, and Cabinet office and Home Office standards.
