Summary:
  • Collect and manage current and historical exposure information and prepare annual underwriting applications on a timely basis for all risk financing and insurance programs
  • Manage within company standards and best practices complex and problematic high visibility workers' compensation claims within delegated limited authority to determine benefits due; work closely with case managers and attorneys; manage subrogation and negotiate settlements to ensure specific customer service requirement to achieve the best possible outcome in the claim.
  • Maintain accurate loss information and prepare reports as needed for applications, claim reviews, actuarial analyses and other risk management purposes. Requires experience managing databases.
  • Manage Service Provider Contracts
  • Assemble data and manage insurance company exposure audits - for Workers Compensation policies
  • Maintain current and historical policy summary information
  • Assist in preparation of annual insurance budget and allocation of cost to business units
  • Has nothing to do with claims - it has to do with collecting salary information of employees to submit to the insurance company they audit periodically and adjust the rates
SKILLS:

Additional Skills:
  • Bachelor's degree required
  • 5-7 years experience in corporate risk management
  • Manufacturing experience a plus
  • 5 Plus years in the following:
    -Commercial lines experience
    -Collect and manage current and historical exposure information and prepare annual underwriting applications on a timely basis for all risk financing and insurance programs
    -Maintain accurate loss information and prepare reports as needed for applications, claim reviews, actuarial analyses and other risk management purposes.
    -Requires experience managing databases.
