Description
A leading bank, based in Manchester are in need of experienced Solution Architect. The Solution Architect will be responsible for solutions that deliver the strategic roadmap relating to service management tooling in the Bank. The solutions will cover the functional areas of service management (Incident & Problem Management), software and asset lifecycle management, asset management and configuration management DB. This is a long term contract role paying a very competitive daily rate.The successful candidate will have the following:
Strong consulting and influencing skills, including excellent presentation skills
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively at senior levels, both written and oral, within the business and IT & Strategy areas.
A good working knowledge of architecture frameworks and models (e.g. Zachman, TOGAF)
Experience of large scale (>£5M) projects with significant integration challenges. Deep understanding of integration approaches and technologies
Experience of cloud, SaaS and systems integration with SaaS vendor service providers
Knowledge of ITIL and of vendor products in the service management area (Service Desk, CMDB, Asset Management, Software Licence Management)
A good working knowledge of development processes (e.g. RAD, Agile, RUP), including testing approaches and methods
Considerable experience in senior roles on major application development, systems integration or infrastructure projects (e.g. application architect, technical architect, lead designer, lead developer)
Extensive experience of developing software and/or building infrastructure components on medium to large-scale distributed projects
