Software Developer required to work on upgrading my clients eLearning environment.
You will be required to take stock and establish current baseline. Remove unneeded copies of Moodle from previous aborted upgrades and ensure the development version matches live.
Upgrade Development version from 2.5 to 3.x.
Reapply customisation's and ESR report to development.
Undertake any remediation action from UAT or Penetration Testing.
Upgrade the Back End database from MySQL to MS SQL Server 2008 R2.
Candidates must have the ability to work independently, having strong organisational and project management skills, and be able to manage the delivery of the new version by July 2016. A sound technical grounding in Moodle, PHP, MySQL/MS SQL Server and Apache is essential.
Candidates must be able to work full time at the client site in Cardiff.
Previous experience of upgrading Moodle within eLearning at University or Health environments - would be highly desirable.
