Solution Architect - Perth - Contract
Square One are looking for a Solution Architect to come on boaord for a 5 month contract based in Perth, Scotland
The role is for a Solution Architect to manage the existing BAU estate from a portfolio perspective.
This will involve:
Initial analysis of the inbound change requests and the impact to the current architectural baseline.
High level options of preferred solution approaches with accompanying order of magnitude cost analysis.
Dependency mapping between individual change requests in BAU as well as cross programme dependencies for the SMART and CC&B programmes.
Development of architectural views and artefacts to define future state architecture.
Liaison with Infrastructure Architects and Application Designers to manage the change through the development life cycle to completion. For large scale change's there will be a Project Manager assigned whom the architect must work collaboratively with.
Key Skills
IBM Mainframe technology in terms of CICS, Cobol ad DB2 - Z Series infrastructure.
TOGAF 9.x
Microsoft technologies desirable - some peripheral systems are SQL*Server/.Net
Oracle technologies desirable - target reference architecture is predominantly Oracle: CC&B, Meter Data Management (MDM), ODI and SOA Suite for integration, OBIEE for reporting and MI.
IBM AIX on P-Series is the midrange UNIX deployment platform
VMWare VSphere on HP blades is the WinTel deployment platform
Citrix knowledge also desirable
This is a 5 month contract role based in Perth, Scotland paying excellent daily rates starting next week
