OpenTV Software Developer experts (Open TV SDK, ANSI C, Agile, TDD) Demons Wanted
*6 month + assignment contract paying up to £550 PD that will banish the mid-week boredom! *
We are on the lookout for top-class OpenTV integration development experts (Open TV SDK, ANSI C, Agile, TDD) to join our client's teams. They entertain, excite & inspire their customers -by providing their customers with an array of high quality content across multiple devices.
They are currently looking for OpenTV experts (Open TV SDK, ANSI C, Agile, TDD) to join them, in their London-based team. You'll be working on a Greenfield project with a start-up feel, on an initial 6 month assignment. They are flexible on rate, paying up to £550 depending on your seniority and relevant experience.
Essential Requirements/Skills:
- Several years proven experience in OpenTV SDK software development on an interactive television platform;
- Thorough knowledge of ANSI C;
- Experience of working on an embedded "thin client" with limited capabilities and resources. Able to work on legacy systems with limited simple tools;
- Experience of developing applications with a significant UI element;
- Working knowledge of xml, xsd's, http communications with backend web servers;
- Working knowledge of DVB standards, MPEG-2 and 4, and the broadcast domain;
- Excellent communication and people skills.
- Knowledge of other modern programming/scripting languages and technologies such as any of: C++, Java, Spring, JSON, Jackson, MVC patterns, Maven, Cucumber, JavaScript, HTML5, Liberate, Tivo, Flash, Action Script;
- Experience of TDD & BDD
- A passion for and experience of Agile methodologies including Scrum, XP, Lean, Kanban and Pair Programming
