Market Data Analyst - Asset Management, MDM, Vendor Management, Budgeting, Real Time
Our client, a global asset management organisation are looking for a Market Data Analyst to join their market data team and provide support and coordination to the business for all market data related issues and challenges. The Market Data Analyst will be responsible for the administration of the inventory system (MDM) and the allocation of market data services as well as the communication and liaison with other teams in the business. The role includes a vendor management element, to ensure that third party relationships are maintained and cost efficiencies are made. This person will also be closely involved with market data projects.
Primary Accountabilities:

• Help ensure that the market data requirements of the business are met in both a cost and time effective
• Manage market data contracts so that they are fit for purpose
• Use MDM to manage the use base for all market data products and services. Also use MDM to provide MI reporting
• Build a strong relationship with Finance to manage invoice payments

Essential knowledge/experience:

• Good understanding of Market Data Procurement.
• Good understanding of Management Information requirements
• Good awareness of market data management and the relevant vendors
• Experience with invoice reconciliation and budget maintenance
• Good interpersonal and communication skills
• Organised, methodical with close attention to detail
• Undergraduate degree obtained, or equivalent period of corporate work experience
• Intermediate skills on MS Excel and MS Word

Desirable:

• Understanding of Market Data Products from Research, Real Time and Back Office feed products.
• Understanding of Financial Protocol
• Understanding of Management Information requirements
• Understanding of CSA's (commission sharing agreements)
