Senior .NET Developer - ASP.NET MVC, C#
A contract opportunity has arisen within STCS for an experienced .NET Developer with a strong background in MVC for an initial 4-month contract which we anticipate will be extended.
The role is to work as part of an internal project team, delivering development and support services to a major Government Agency client. As a result of new Government schemes the remit of this Agency has dramatically changed and is continuing to change, this has led to a proliferation in new system development projects.
The essential technical skills required are ASP.NET MVC 3 or later, C#, Ajax and the Entity framework 5 or later. Overall you will have demonstrable experience across various development environments spanning a number of projects and ideally within Agile teams. You will have a good IT related degree or equivalent experience, be articulate and above all show a genuine enthusiasm for software development.
Experience of developing within the financial services sector would be a distinct advantage as would experience in MVC 5, TFS, Automated software testing and Oracle DBMS. Familiarity with the Government Service Design Manual standards is also desirable.
