Sopra Steria Recruitment is working in partnership with a major public sector client in the UK. We are currently recruiting a Chartered Surveyor for an initially 4 month contract based in London/Wales/
Manchester/Preston/Nottingham/Bristol/Reading/St Albans.
Essential experience:
- Demonstrate the application of technical knowledge, valuation methodology and legal requirements along with an understanding of the commercial and economic environment to inform decision making.
- Demonstrate the ability to apply professional expertise to analyse, evaluate and interpret wide sources of evidence in order to reach sound conclusions.
- Understand and comply with statutory and non-statutory requirements arising from legislation, case law, codes of practice and professional standards.
- Provide assurance that their work meets professional standards and demonstrate an appreciation of the impact of individual contribution to the wider landscape.
- Hold relevant qualification(s) and undertake continuing professional development, seeking learning and development opportunities throughout career.

Responsibilities:
- As part of the Transport and Infrastructure team you will advise on new road, rail, tram and pipeline schemes, and on airport expansions and new runways.
- Strong advocates of Early Contractor Involvement, involving our transport and infrastructure experts at the planning stage of a project to help ensure cost effective route selection and significantly reduce the risk of cost overruns.
- Health; You will provide a range of strategic advice, including preparation and maintenance of Strategic Service Development Plans and advice on potential acquisitions and on disposal of surplus property in accordance with the Estate code.
- Specialise in asset strategies and plans, detailed surveys, valuations and benchmarking of individual assets or whole estates on a primarily national and sometimes international basis.
- You will be responsible for key client accounts which will involve regular liaison, reporting and project management.
